IX ECUADORIAN CONGRESS
ON MATHEMATICS

Two years after the last congress, the Faculty of Mathematics at the Escuela Politécnica Nacional de Quito is pleased to organize in 2004 the IX Ecuadorian Congress on Mathematics and its Applications. As in previous occasions, the congress is addressed to a broad public of students, school teachers, university professors, and researchers working in any field of mathematics, related to theory, practice, or docency. The program includes plenary talks, tutorial courses, presentation of works, and mini-courses. Two other scientific activities will take place parallelly to the congress: the IV Workshop on Applied Statistics and the second meeting of the ALFA Network Partial Differential Equations in Industry and Engineering.
